Abstract

This review provides an insightful overview of technological development in Nigeria, tracing its historical roots and examining the importance of science education in driving the nation's technological advancement. The article underscores the need for digital tools in teaching science education, reviewing the available technologies and the role of teachers in integrating them into the classroom. The challenges and opportunities of using digital tools in science education in Nigeria are explored, with a special focus on their impact on students' learning outcomes. The article also highlights the need for enhancing teachers' competence in using digital tools for science education and integrating STEM education into Nigeria's education curriculum. The review concludes with a look at the future of technological development in Nigeria, with a particular focus on science education, and offers policy recommendations for improving science education and technological development in the country. Overall, the article presents a compelling case for prioritizing science education and investing in digital tools to drive Nigeria's technological progress.
